Noise emission values in Padel sport

Noise protection rules are everywhere to help keep the peace and make sure loud noises don’t mess with our health and happiness. These regulations are super important for keeping the public and neighborhoods safe from annoying noise that can disturb our daily lives and ramp up stress levels. Even sports facilities, which can get pretty noisy during events, have to play nice and make sure they don’t bother the folks living nearby.

The noise limits really depend on where you are—whether it’s a homey neighborhood, a busy shopping area, or an industrial zone, and this is all laid out in the local development plans. These plans think about a bunch of things, like how many people live around there and what activities are happening, to decide on the right noise levels that keep everyone happy while allowing businesses to do their thing.

Wall protections for Padel Clubs

Padel Sports can reach noise levels of 68 – 70 dB during busy times (for example, a facility with 7 indoor Padel Courts and 1 outdoor Court).

These levels were measured across the street without any sound barriers. This situation would likely not comply with noise regulations in a residential area.

To prevent issues with neighbors, soundproof walls are a great choice since this club is in a residential area. (see picture on the left)

If you’re doing a project with us and need a request from local authorities, we can provide a noise report.

Tips for Planning a Sports Complex

Considering noise early in the planning helps keep control costs down.

Here are some key points to remember:

  • Choose a good location for the sports facility to avoid issues. Keep it away from quiet areas.
  • Position buildings to lessen noise for nearby properties.
  • Place Padel Courts and facilities like changing rooms and cafes carefully.
  • Use dirt from construction as a noise barrier.
  • Design access roads and parking to minimize disturbance to local residents.
  • In noisy areas, think about enclosing the sports field. A canopy can also help reduce noise.
  • Notify local residents early about the plans and involve them in the process if possible.
